National Quality Framework Information Sessions
“Transitioning OSHC – The First Steps”

image

The National Quality Framework will be implemented across Australia from January 1 2012, and will apply to outside school hours care (OSHC) services.

Under the National Law, all existing OSHC services in NSW and their providers will need to be approved by the NSW regulatory authority, the Department of Education and Communities.

The Department will be processing applications for approvals region by region. You will be individually noti!ed and sent information packages when it is time for services in your region to submit their applications. Seminars have been organised to coincide with these time frames.

Network of Community Activities, in partnership with the Department of Education and Communities, will be holding 20 information seminars across NSW to assist providers to navigate the application process. We encourage attendance at these seminars by managers and staff who will be responsible for completing the application forms.

Seminars will be held in 14 locations across NSW between November 2011 and March 2012. These 14 locations will include 8 regional and 6 metropolitan centres. The first sessions will be held in metropolitan areas in late 2011, and sessions for regional, rural and remote services will be held in early 2012.

Book onto these sessions at www.netoosh.org.au.
